coffee painting - Wau Bulan
WAU BULAN – The name Wau Bulan derives from the moon crescent shape of the lower section of the kite ('Bulan' in Malay means 'moon'). Given the right colour, the Wau Bulan resembles the moon crescent when it is flown in the air against the blue sky. The size of the Wau Bulan is bigger than any other Malaysian traditional kites, making visible the decorations painted on the kite's body when it is flown high in the air. To make it more distinctive, the Wau Bulan is normally decorated with large patterns and in vibrant colours.
